Abstract

The halogenotrisilanes SiH₃·SiH₂·SiHF₂, SiH₃·SiH₂·SiF₃, SiH₃·SiHCl·SiH₃, SiH₂Cl·SiH₂·SiH₂Cl, SiH₃·SiH₂·SiCl₃, SiHCl₂·SiH₂·SiHCl₂, SiH₃·SiH₂·SiH₂Br and possibly SiH₃·SiHBr·SiH₃ and SiH₃·SiH₂·SiH₂F have been characterised by n.m.r. spectroscopy. Where possible, alternative preparative routes, vibrational spectra, and mass spectra provided additional support for the identification.
