Extension of the Spectrum of AgCl

The absorption of AgCl vapor below $\lambda 2500$ has been investigated with high dispersion. A new band system obeying the formula ${\nu }_{\mathrm{head}}=43,525.4+294.1\mathrm{}{u}^{\prime }-1.70\mathrm{}{u}^{\prime 2}-342.8\mathrm{}{u}^{\prime \prime }+2.14\mathrm{}{u}^{\prime \prime 2}$ has been found, and a fragment of another similar system. Strong continuous absorption is observed at higher pressures.
