Abstract
The ,5,5O Auger spectra of Xe have been measured and compared with theoretical profiles. Single-particle predictions are found to deviate strongly from experiment in the case of the ,5,5 transitions. Multiconfiguration calculations which take into account the mixing between the 455 and 4555 configurations reproduce the observed structure reasonably well.
