Abstract
The predicted low-temperature, low-density phase separation of Coulombic systems has been sought by applying the recently developed Monte Carlo technique of ‘‘density scaling’’ to a fluid of charged spheres. The existence of the transition is confirmed. As well as locating it, the method allows estimates of the thermodynamics of the transition. Keywords
