Abstract
The switching characteristics of a ferroelectric liquid crystal with negative dielectric anisotropy were studied. An anomalous behavior has been found in the applied voltage dependence of the switching time, i.e., with increasing applied voltage in the low voltage region the switching time decreases monotonically, while in the high voltage region it attains a minimum and then increases. Keywords
