Abstract
A study was undertaken to determine the engineering and economic feasibility of repowering several conventional pulverized coal and oil fired units with combustion turbines. Both feedwater repowering and hot windbox repowering were examined. Performance was evaluated using PEPSE. The results of the most promising units are presented in detail. The duration of the study was six months and the project cost approximately $75,000.Keywords
