Abstract

Maternal blood gases (O₂ and CO₂), plasma pH, and oxygen consumption were studied during pregnancy in resting, unanesthetized Pygmy goats. Eight pregnant and nine nonpregnant animals were studied at 3-wk intervals, beginning before conception and continuing 6 wk postpartum.
