Abstract
An initial case of an atypical fungal corneal ulcer caused by one of the etiological agents of cutaneous chromomycosis, Phialophora verrucosa, was treated unsuccessfully with topical thiabendazole, and with corneal cryotherapy, but effectively with a conjunctival flap. The disease was produced in the cornea of an owl monkey by inoculation with fungal spores. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
