Abstract
A widely tunable laser diode has been developed in InGaAsP/InP at 1.55 µm wavelength using an integrated vertical Mach-Zehnder (VMZ) interferometer. Regular tuning behaviour is obtained with only one wavelength control current over a tuning range of 30 nm with ~50 accessible wavelengths. Keywords
