Abstract
Congenital earpits or auricular sinuses are defects in the development of the outer ear from the 1st and 2nd branchial arch. They are most often located in front of the ear. Six cases are described. Early surgery is recommended because of a tendency towards infection with scarring. They can be associated with serious internal abnormalities, especially deafness and kidney malformations. Keywords
