Bromocriptine in Acromegaly

Abstract
To the Editor: The results of the study by Lindholm et al.1 on the effects of bromocriptine in acromegaly deserve comment. Bromocriptine has been used in the treatment of acromegaly for over six years, and the results of treatment in several hundred patients have been described in the literature; many of the patients have derived marked clinical benefit from the therapy, although normalization of growth hormone (GH) levels has been uncommon.
