Abstract
Purified chloroplast membranes from the marine green alga U. mutabilis Fyn, were prepared and studied by means of polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (PAGE). Denatured membrane proteins gave band patterns similar to those obtained from purified spinach chloroplasts. Partially denatured membranes revealed 2 chlorophyll-protein band CP I and CP II in a SDS-Tris/acetate PAGE-system, while only the CP II-band was seen in a phosphate buffered PAGE-system. Re-eluted, denatured CP-bands from Ulva and spinach gave nearly identical PAGE-patterns.This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
