Abstract
The principles of the Lifshitz theory of van der Waals interaction are used to formulate and compute energies in multilayer systems. The full analysis including relativistic, temperature, and many‐body effects reveals a nonadditive long‐range interaction that is not predicted by earlier theories. Keywords
