Abstract
The survival of nonprivate and private patients following orchiectomy for stage D adenocarcinoma of the prostate was studied. While the private patients enjoyed a longer survival, their improved survival was found to be a function of an earlier presentation. Examination of the survival statistics with linear regression analysis suggested that survival following orchiectomy is a function of the age at the time of orchiectomy. Keywords
