Abstract
A Ceramic Fiber Reinforced Aluminum Matrix Composite has been developed that has excellent wear resistance, seizure resistance against cast iron, good thermal conductivity and high strength at elevated temperatures, By strengthening top land and top ring groove of piston with the Aluminum Matrix Composites, a newly designed Diesel Engine attained excellent performance without sacrificing manufacturing cost and productivity. Keywords
