Abstract
Using a food reward to reinforce swimming to a red-illuminated box, and no reward for swimming to a simultaneously green-illuminated box, the establishment of wave-length discrimination was investigated. Intensity factors were controlled by (1) varying the intensity of the red and green lights, and (2) by using white light of differing intensities in some trials. Clear evidence of the use of wavelength as a discriminatory cue was obtained. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2006 APA, all rights reserved)
