Abstract
Tooth development was studied in a series of pouch-young specimens of Protemnodon eugenii. The single replacing premolar originated from the dental lamina that is directly anterior to the deciduous molariform tooth. Two functionless incisors in each quadrant also were observed during development. Keywords
