Abstract
The correction to the Born approximation has been found for high energy bremsstrahlung neglecting screening. The calculation involves using approximate Coulomb solutions to the Dirac equation which give the right phase and wave amplitude at large distances from the nucleus. The correction is found to decrease with increasing energies, and is less than 10 percent for 15-Mev electrons and a Pb target. Moreover, unlike the non-relativistic case, the correction is independent of the sign of charge of the projectile.
