Abstract
Polypeptides with repeating unit sequences, in which a glycyl residue is flanked progressively by from one to five γ-ethyl-L-glutamyl residues, have been prepared by polymerization of appropriate peptide p-nitrophenyl esters. Synthesis of the hexapeptide active monomer involved the use of the new 2,4,6-trimethylbenzyl acid-sensitive carboxyl-protecting group. Keywords
