Abstract
Plato's epistemological speculations on the nature of perception, memory, and ideation are expressed in a wax block metaphor in the dialogue Theaetetus. While this dialogue is primarily concerned with the nature of knowledge, it can also be construed as reflecting a Platonic conception of cognitive disabilities. Keywords
