Abstract
Administration of fluordie tablets [to children] can result in a significant reduction in dental decay. The most difficult problem is that of motivating the parents or school teachers to dispense the supplements regularly over long periods of time, a difficulty which does not exist with water fluoridation. In those situations where water fluoridation cannot be implemented, programs using fluoride tablets are a useful alternative measure.
