Abstract
This paper presents a method for predicting the behavior of an untested structure using the modified J, JM-resistance curve approach. The method combines the JM-R curve, calibration functions, and the expression for JM for the untested geometry to provide the load-load point displacement characteristics and the JM-TM diagram of the structure. These two records contain all the information needed to assess structural behavior, maximum load, the tendency for instability, and the load-point displacement at every point. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
