Abstract
A dimensional and similarity argument analogous to that used in the description of the flux of turbulent energy in fluid flow is applied to the problem of energy dissipation by Joule heating in electrical conductors. A spectral density in the space domain is obtained, and is used to derive a spectral density in the time domain by means of a dispersion relation. The spectral density in the time domain is proportional to the inverse frequency. Keywords
