Abstract
The first imidazolate-bridged heterobinuclear copper–zinc complex of a unique macrobicyclic ligand (cryptand) was prepared and characterized by X-ray diffraction; the complex-catalysed dismutation of superoxide anion survives in the presence of bovine serum albumin. Keywords
