Neuroblastoma, Presenting as Myasthenia Gravis in a Child Aged 3 Years

Abstract
A case is recorded of ganglioneuroblastoma in a child of 3 years of age, who has to date survived for 18 months after treatment by combined surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy. Clinical features of this case were those of myasthenia gravis, and they disappeared after excision of the tumor. Such an association has not previously been reported. The capacity of the ganglioneuroblastoma group to act as "functioning" tumors is discussed.
