Abstract
Summary: For Trichomonas vaginalis and Trichomonas foetus the following findings are reported: a specific, high titer somatic agglutinina specific posterior flagellar agglutinin of moderate titeran antibody, or possibly a complex of antibodies, capable of causing the rounding, granulation, and ultimate fragmentation of these organisms, after inactivation of the antiserum at 56°C for 30 minutes.an antibody, or possibly a complex of antibodies, of high titer, capable of causing the immobilization and subsequent lysis of the anterior flagella, after inactivation of the antiserumthe antigenic similarity of Trichomonas vaginalis and Trichomonas foetus.the immunologic and serologic techniques applied to bacteria are not applicable to the study of this type of organism. Keywords
