Abstract
Under conditions of continuous exposure, 3% CO2 was known to inhibit pileus expansion but not stipe elongation in carpophores of Collybia velutipes (Curt.) Fr. By exposing the carpophores to 3% CO2 for several days and then to 0.03% CO2 (air) and by selecting the time of exposure, it has been possible to establish that the CO2 inhibition can be limited to the later expanding phase of carpophore development and that this inhibition is readily reversed by exposure to 0.03% CO2.This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
