Le temps social : enfants étrangers à l'école française

Abstract
Le temps social se structure selon des normes culturelles. Dans cette recherche, on a observé le comportement d'enfants étrangers à l'école française en ce qui concerne les exigences relatives au temps. 70 observations d'une demi-journée ont été effectuées sur six élèves hispanophones pendant une année scolaire. Des entretiens ont été menés avec ces enfants, leurs parents et leurs instituteurs. Ces données mettent en relief le décalage du comportement temporel de ces enfants par rapport aux normes scolaires françaises. A partir de l'observation et des entretiens on perçoit certains conflits éprouvés par ces enfants et leurs instituteurs, ces conflits signalent le façonnement culturel des conduites sociales.Social time is structured according to cultural norms. This research studies time related behavior of foreign children attending French school. 70 observations have been done on six Spanish and Latin- American children during a school year. Interviews are conducted with subjects, their parents and teachers. Data point out the distance between their temporal behavior and French school norms concerning time. Observation data and interviews show certain conflits between this children and their teachers. This conflicts underline culturel influence over social time codes.Vasquez Ana.
