Abstract
The Arizona Supreme Court recently reviewed a case in order to clarify the law regarding the obligations of physicians and hospitals in rendering emergency care to indigent patients. The opinion could have far-reaching implications, not only for clinical obligations to patients but also for the importance of economic factors in emergency care medicine.In Thompson v.
