Abstract
Confidence intervals were established for 5 genetic parametes obtained from progeny test experiments. The influence of numbers of replicates and genotypes used in an experiment on the precision of estimating genetic parameters is discussed based on the structure of the intervals. Data of a progeny test experiment of the potato are then analyzed for determining a suitable selection scheme for quantitative traits in a breeding program. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
