Abstract
The concentration of selenium was determined for the first time in samples of saliva collected from children 11 to 12 years of age. All samples contained selenium in amounts varying from 1.1 to 5.2 ppb with a mean concentration of 3.1 ppb. There was no difference in the level of salivary selenium between boys and girls. Keywords
