Abstract
1,4-Benzoquinone or 1,4-naphthoquinone and their derivatives have been halogenated selectively at quinonoid positions with copper(II) halide adsorbed on neutral alumina followed by refluxing in halobenzene to give mono- di-, tri- and tetra-halo-quinones.Keywords
