Abstract
The electronic states of the MA‐center in a potassium‐chloride crystal containing sodium are theoretically investigated on the basis of the Schneider model. The method is formulated by using both the polaron model and the quasi‐continuum model of electron‐excess centers. The impurity potential is treated by the valence‐electron model of atoms introduced in the preceding paper. We have used our theoretical results to discuss the origin of the MA bands reported by Schneider.
