A Case of Congenital Nephrotic Syndrome

Abstract
This case of congenital nephrotic syndrome [in a premature male human infant] was not easy to classify. Treatment with usually effective doses of cyclophosphamide and prednisolone was unsuccessful, whereas a treatment with gammaglobulin was concomitant with a decrease in the frequency of infections, improvement of the nephrotic syndrome, growth, psychomotor development and bone maturation. EM shows basal membrane abnormalities not yet described.
