Abstract
Presentation of CaseA twenty-seven-year-old housewife entered the hospital because of recurrent episodes of hemoptysis.For eight years before admission the patient had repeated hemoptyses of varying degree, usually following overexertion or upper respiratory infection. For the most part, these consisted of the expectoration of slight to moderate amounts of blood mixed with sputum over a period of several days. The first change in the severity of incidents occurred a little over three and a half years before admission when, after playing ball, the patient coughed up some pure blood.
