Abstract
Eleven samples of mudstones and a line-grained sandstones from a well at Taramakau were examined palynologically. A Bortonian (Eocene) age is indicated by poor pollen floras extracted from six of the samples. Microfloral results suggest that the samples from Taramakau—1 are from Brunner Coal Measures and Island Sandstone. Keywords
