The impact of HIV on older people: Part 1

Abstract
The physical and psychological effects of HIV infection in older people have been under-researched. This two- part article draws together the available literature and concludes that HIV has a major impact on older people, which is often different from that experienced by younger people. Next week, the author looks at what research is needed and how to increase awareness of the issue.
