Abstract
Further tests of the 100 mg./day proguanil prophylaxis carried out on 625 white residents of New Guinea indicate that such treatment has a very high degree of protective value against malaria. Break-through occurred in only 7 cases in which the treatment had been carefully followed, and in each of these cases the fever was mild and yielded readily to standard treatment precedures. Keywords
