Abstract
Presentation of Case First admission. A 20-year-old man was admitted to the hospital because of facial swelling and leukemia.He was well until two weeks earlier, when he began to notice swelling about the left ear, accompanied by a headache. The swelling spread to involve the left earlobe and the upper portion of the neck. One day before admission chills and fever developed, and on the following day he went to another hospital, where he was found to be febrile and to have a white-cell count of 66,000.
