Abstract
The presence of very low concentrations of phenol has been detected in a 90% argon/10% methane proportional-counter gas mixture by laser-induced resonant two photon ionisation. The resonant two-photon ionisation spectrum has been compared with the single-photon ultraviolet absorption spectrum of phenol in the wavelength range 266-278 nm.Keywords
