Melting Curves of the Rubidium Halides at High Pressures

Abstract
The melting curves of the rubidium halides have been determined to 30–40 kbar. The present curve for RbCl is in good agreement with Clark's curve to 12 kbar. The pressures of the triple points between the low‐ and high‐pressure solid phases and liquid for RbCl, RbBr, and RbI agree well with the values to be expected by extrapolation of earlier work at lower temperatures. The triple point on the melting curve of RbF is located near 32 kbar.Keywords
