Frequency-stable pulsed Gunn oscillators

Abstract

Pulsed Gunn-diode oscillators with low frequency drift across the pulse (chrip) have been produced in the X and J bands. Using simple circuit techniques, uncompensated chirps from 30 to 100 MHz are reduced to less than 2 MHz.
