Dehydrooligopeptides. IV. Synthesis of various types of dehydrodi- and tripeptides by fragment condensation and base-catalyzed .BETA.-elimination.

Abstract
The synthesis of dehydrotripeptides, composed of an α-amino acid and two α-dehydroamino acid (DHA) residues, by the direct coupling of N-protected △1-dehydrodipeptide with DHA ester and by the β-elimination of △1-dehydrotripeptide containing a threonine residue is described. Moreover, the configurational determination of all the new products is discussed.
