Abstract
A general view of the spore shows a thick three-layered wall, two nuclei, ribosomes, mitochondria, and microbodies, as well as prominent lipid droplets and glycogen granules. Vacuole-like structures can be detected next to the innermost wall layer, which plugs the conjunction with the sterigma. Special attention was given to the respective localization of mitochondria and microbodies.
