Abstract
In some cases it is desirable to determine the dose resulting from certain types of ionizing radiation by weighting the pulses produced in a proportional counter by their height. An instrument that automatically integrates pulses in such a fashion is described. The pulses actuate one or more of a series of discriminators which are biased at successively higher voltages. The discriminators are connected into successive stages of two binary scaling units in such a way that the total number of counts recorded is proportional to the height of the initial pulse. Keywords
