Abstract
In the clinical diagnosis of anemia, red blood cell indices and related cell counts show distinguishing patterns that are characteristic of different types of anemias. A computer program called the Anema-Graph, developed in BASIC, makes it possible to suggest a diagnosis of anemia based on the pattern recognition ability of the program using the patients' blood cell indices and counts. This program saves valuable time when a patient diagnosis is being made and offers new possible diagnoses that may have been overlooked. Keywords
