Abstract
The literature suggests that geographic mobility, both inside one's country and internationally, will be associated with general ethnic tolerance. A national survey (n = 1277) was conducted in Canada employing measures of geographic mobility and a variety of scales of general ethnic attitudes. Results indicated that geographic mobility was positively associated with general ethnic tolerance independently of respondents' ethnicity, socioeconomic status, and type of mobility (intranationally or internationally). Keywords
