Abstract
At the University of Iowa Hospitals, physicians have studied the delivery of dead fetuses from 360 patients. Labor was spontaneous in 58.9 percent but induced in 36.4 percent. Eleven patients who had retained a dead fetus from 4 to 10 weeks evidenced hypofibrinogenemia. Aggressive management for fetal death in utero is recommended. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
