Abstract
Food items were identified in digestive tracts from otters (Lutra canadensis) taken by trappers during Feb., March, and April over a period of 6 years in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Minnesota. In addition, scats of Wisconsin otters from all seasons of the year were examined for food remains. Fish, particularly non-game fish, were the main prey species. Game fish (including trout) occurred infrequently. Crayfish, frogs, and aquatic insects were other important foods. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
