Abstract
Fifty six strains of alfalfa representing varieties such as Ranger, Grimm, Hardigan, Cossack, Buffalo, and Viking were assayed for estrogenic activity by extracting the alfalfa with alcohol and feeding the filtrates to castrated female mice.
